On February 3rd, Renaissance West Community Initiative hosted its first Community Night for the residents of Renaissance and Little Rock Apartments. RWCI, in partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library, provided resources and activities for children and parents at the Dr. John T. Crawford Renaissance Center. Activities included arts and crafts, video games, books, an interactive story time, and free food! Information about the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library and the resources it offers, such as free tutoring and library card enrollment, was available at the event. The evening was a great first step in engaging neighborhood families. More Family Nights are being planned for the future!
