Below is a video compilation of some of the out-of-school time events held at Renaissance over the last year.
The UNC Charlotte Writing Project held a camp for 6th-12th graders at RWCI this summer. One of their projects was to collect an Oral History of the neighborhood. They interviewed seniors living at The Residences at Renaissance, many of whom were former Boulevard Homes residents. Hear their stories in the video below.
Students also participated in The National Writing Project’s initiative to collect letters from youth across the country written to America’s next president. Below are a selection of those letters and the accompanying videos from the UNC Charlotte camp.
